Design and management of storm water and erosion control measures.Provide civil engineering for county projects and development.Management of roads, bridges, buildings and infrastructure construction and maintenance.Skill in interpersonal, written, and oral communication.Ability to conduct necessary engineering research and compile comprehensive reports.Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees, consultants, other governmental agency representatives, County officials and the general public.Considerable skill in arriving at cost estimates on complex projects.
NEWTON COUNTY WATER AND SEWAGE AUTHORITY LICENSE
Must possess and maintain state certifications including EMT-I, CPR, and a valid Georgia driver’s license with appropriate endorsement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED with vocational or technical school training in Emergency Medical Technology and a minimum of one to two years experience in emergency communications and emergency response functions or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. RÉSUMÉS SUBMITTED WITHOUT AN APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Maintains station and performs daily duties as required by the position. Routinely assists with the inspection of the ambulance and related equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary cleanliness. REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for administrating appropriate emergency medical treatment to victims of accidents and other life threatening situations as part of an advanced life support EMS service. Must possess and maintain certifications as required by the County. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of one to two years of experience in firefighting technique and engineering, rescue operations and truck driving and operations or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Maintains vehicles, trucks, firefighting and rescue equipment, and the fire station. Drives emergency response equipment and fire trucks to the scene of an incident.

Must possess and maintain the required certifications as deemed necessary by Office of EMS which includes Paramedic’s certification and possession of appropriate state EMS certifications (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certified by the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council as Firefighter or able to obtain certification within one year of hire date. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in Paramedic Technology and a minimum of two to three years experience in emergency communications and emergency medical response functions with the ability to provide leadership and supervision over assigned emergency service functions or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must be able to work flexible hours and flexible locations. Operates an advanced life support ambulance to administer care. REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for administering appropriate emergency medical treatment to victims of accidents and other life threatening situations.
